Biographies of Presenters

Sandra Gustafson
Sandra Gustafson was trained in
Bowenwork by the founders of the Bowen Therapy Academy of
Australia, Ossie and Elaine Rentsch, and has been an
accredited Bowenwork practitioner since 1991.
In 1994, she became an instructor for
the BTAA, and taught classes in Australia until 1999. She now
teaches in the USA, where she resides. Sandra is a Registered
Nurse who specialized in Intensive Care Nursing until 2001.
She is also a trained Naturopathic Practitioner.
These days, she works in a medical
practice of Integrative Neurology, and uses Bowenwork
extensively, to support her clients. She has been actively
involved in establishing Bowenwork Academy USA, the teaching
arm of Bowenwork in the United States, and has served as
President from 2005 to 2007.
Sandra's interests lie in presenting
Bowenwork to mainstream healthcare practitioners and
facilities in order to encourage the incorporation of the
technique into conventional healthcare programmes. To this end
she has presented this work to the Integrative Health faculty
at Mayo Clinic in 2005 and many other medical and health
support groups.
She is currently completing a
post-registration Bachelor of Nursing Science degree at James
Cook University in Townsville, Australia.
